Vienna, Austria — Eva Petrič (MFA 2010) announces the recent publication of TRANSapPARENT, a 112 page hardcover monograph featuring the artist’s poetry and photography.
Edited by Petrič’s MFA advisors photographer Lucien Clergue and arts writer Martina Corgnati, TRANSapPARENT includes contributions by filmmaker Michael Pilz, architect and urban designer Boris Podrecca, art historian Peter Weiermair and curator Bariaa Mourad.
Petrič’s artist book is featured in the libraries and stores of renowned museums and book dealers worldwide including Salon für Kunstbuch, Kunstverlag Wolfrum and Österreichisches Museum für angewandte Kunst (MAK) in Vienna as well as the International Centre of Photography, New York; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona.
Born in 1983 in Kranj, Slovenia, Eva Petrič is an interdisciplinary artist working in photography, painting, video, performance, sound and the written word. Her artistic practice focuses on defining space, whether physical or mental, real or imaginary, through the creation of atmosphere. Petrič lives and works in Vienna, where she studied art and psychology at Webster University Vienna (BA 2005) before matriculating at Transart.
