New book “Adrift” coming out in April

“Adrift” is an accordion fold photography book that reflects on the effects of climate change. The project began on a year-long South-to-North journey from Antarctica to Alaska. Pairing photographs of Antarctic icebergs and empty Iñupiat Eskimo hunting cabins, the book offers a commentary on the parallel effects of global climate change at opposite ends of the Earth. The images are accompanied by essays (by Martin Pedersen, Rori Knudtson and Jean-Marie Casbarian) and a brief introduction by myself.

Book signing events to be announced soon.

To coincide with the Sink or Swim: Designing for a Sea Change exhibition, Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles has invited me to present my most recent projects from the “North Via South” trip during their Iris Nights. If you happen to be in the LA area during that time, I hope you can come to see the lecture.

Thursday, April 2nd, 6:30 – 8 pm

Skylight Studios
10050 Constellation Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90067
