MFA Alum Andrew Telichan Phillips to join NYU’s Music Technology PhD Program

Andrew Telichan Phillips (MFA 2012) will join the doctoral program in Music Technology at New York University this fall.

Telichan Phillips will work with the Music and Audio Research Lab (MARL), focusing on composition and performance practices while developing new digital musical instruments for performance interaction.

Devoted to investigating the intersection between music, computation and science, MARL brings together scholars from the fields of music theory, technology and composition; computer and information science; and interactive media and media studies in order to better understand human cognitive abilities in music as well as innovate the study and creation of music.
