Transart alumna Mariana Rocha’s “Death Diaries” screening at Vale Museum and Opera House


Mariana Rocha’s Death Diaries: “The Death of The Marxist Count” at the Memorial Minas Gerais Vale, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

“The Death of the Marxist Count” is an Opera in cinematic form, created by the artist and performer Mariana Rocha in collaboration with the artist Marcelo Kraiser.

Memory, torment, grief, presence and death are represented through sound, image and dialogues between the death, the self and the other, bringing the issue of how the finitude defines us.

Opening: September 3rd at 7:30 pm
Memorial Minas Gerais Vale. Praça da Liberdade, 640, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

The video will be screened in different parts of the building, including the facade and the opera room. After the screening an artist talk with Mariana Rocha and Marcelo Kraiser will take place. During the following days the video will be projected in the opera room.
