Winter Residency Schedule 2015

One week winter intensives take place in New York between fall and spring semester. Residencies consist of presentations, critique sessions and guest talks. Each student has the option to install work in a gallery space and/or bring documentation of work mid-project as applicable. Students have 45 minutes to present their project and get feedback. There are also visits to exhibitions and performances, guest talks as well as individual meetings with advisors. Alumni are invited to events and to participate in critiques by request.

Presentation formats
Total time per student is 45 minutes including set up time.
Choose your format and student moderator (if applicable) in advance:
1. Present, choose student moderator to call on students first, advisors last.
2. Present, chosen moderator calls on speakers, listen without responding.
3. Present and moderate discussion yourself.
4. Chooses student to present work and moderate discussion.
5. Returning students choose a fresh option.

Technical info
If using the video projector, you will present on the institute’s Mac powerbook (using Keynote, Powerpoint or Prezi). Bring two memory sticks with your presentation; hold onto one for back up or to make changes. Check on another computer to be sure you have all your files.

Pre-residency
Pre-residency form due 12/15.
