Deborah Robinson

Recent projects include “Transpositions”, at Peninsula Arts Gallery, Plymouth University. Installation work encompassing video and sound based on collaborations with scientists, technologists and artists at Bath and Plymouth. Recent collaboration with Professor Mike Richardson, developmental biologist, Institute of Biology, Leiden. Artwork explores biological categorisation, and the use of specimens and models in theories of evolutionary development. These objects straddle boundaries in a curious manner evoking imagined spaces and usage/interpretations beyond their original purpose. PhD thesis: The Materiality of Text and the Body in Painting and Darkroom Processes: An Investigation through Practice”.
