CONNY BECKER (DE) is an independent journalist, author and curator. Trained as a pharmacist and scientific journalist, since 2006 her interest focuses on contemporary art. While studying art history at Humboldt University in Berlin (BA), she begun as an art critique and developed a curatorial practice. She edited the publications Metropolitan Views: Art Scenes in Berlin and London, 2008, and Metropolitan Views: Art Scenes in Berlin 1989-2009, 2010, as well as several exhibition catalogs. In 2013, she was the main author of the catalog of the Luxemburg Pavilion. Exhibitions she curated include Family Jewels at Bahnwärterhaus of the Villa Merkel, Esslingen (2009/10), and State of the Union in Freies Museum Berlin (2011). She is a member of the non-profit space tête, where she curated four exhibitions so far, and also a member of the Kleine Humboldt Galerie, where she plans her second and third project this year.
