Julia Rosenbaum is an art historian. She studied Art History, Archaeology and Education Science at the Freie Universität Berlin and finalized her thesis in 2004 on the a private Berlin based collection of the beginning of the 20th century.
Since 2005 she is working for Deutche Bank Art in Frankfurt and Berlin. As Associate Gallery Manger and Gallery Manager of Deutsche Guggenheim (2006-2009) she was in charge of exhibitions such as “Anish Kapoor: Memory”. Since 2009 she is responsible for the education program at Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle on a freelance basis. As an independent curator Julia co-founded the exhibition series “Little Krimminals” in 2011, which focuses on the relation between art and typography. Exploring new ideas of mediation, she is offering exclusive studio visits of leading artists residing in Berlin that are especially designed for curators, collectors and art critics.
