MATTHIAS REICHELT was born 1955, studied German and American literature in Berlin-West. He lives as free- lance cultural journalist, art critic, and curator in Berlin. He has been curating since 1983 various exhibitions, basically dealing with art and politics. For the last three years he organized and curated projects on the memory of the genocide of the Roma and Sinti under German fascism. Presently he is working together with Lith Bahlmann on an exhibition of paintings and drawings by the Austrian Romni Ceija Stojka (1933-2013) providing an impressive, intense and touching narrative of Roma and Sinti Holocaust. Stojka had survived three Concentration Camps and started to write, paint and draw about her traumatic story in the 1980’s.
