Transart Institute offers a guest artist certificate program in Berlin for artists who are not seeking a degree. Participants join graduate and doctoral students in workshops, lectures, critiques and the bi-annual Transartfest optionally leaving the residency with input on project plans for the year ahead.

Guest artists attend the summer certificate program to get a creative surge, get a fresh perspective on their work, revitalize their practice, experiment in a protected, supportive environment or to take their work in a new direction.

Participants may choose to extend their connection to the institute beyond the summer, becoming part of an international community of artists, theorists and curators. Certificate students may choose to get input on project plans for the year ahead and join one of the fall/spring critique groups which meet regularly by skype or in person throughout the year.

Artists who successfully complete the residency will receive a non-credit certificate of attendance and will have the opportunity to apply for membership in the Transartist Collective.
