Transart Alumnae Linda Duvall and Miriam Schaer presenting their projects at the Open Engagement Conference “Power” at the Oakland Museum of California.

Duvall will be presenting The Unacknowledged, her project which focuses on deceased individuals who have no family or others to claim their bodies after they die.

Schaer will present her project Craft Power, about working with women from the Republic of Georgia, with her collaborator Melissa Hilliard Potter, on the panel Allies or Aliens: Collaborating Across Cultures, along with Janet Goldner and Laura Anderson Barbata

Open Engagement 2016 — POWER will take place April 29–May 1, 2016 at the Oakland Museum of California and additional sites throughout the Bay Area.
