Transart Alumnus Christopher van Donkelaar will be kicking off his Atlas of Canada’s Local-Colour project today. The project will involve taking rocks, soils, plants, and bones from various communities across Canada and mapping their potential as pigment. “As each colour in this exploration is recorded onto a page of the Atlas, the resulting spidergrams will reveal the colours that are literally part of that community. In this way the communities of Canada will display their local-colours for the first time in history!”
