Transart Faculty member Mary Ting has created a community art project entitled, “Daffodil Ashes.” This project is a 3-session workshop on loss, mourning and art making, which takes inspiration from the Chinese folk tradition of burning paper objects as gifts to the dead. Participants will create specific objects for their departed loved ones, share stories, culminating with an exhibition and off site burning.
Workshops are held September 8, 15, 29, 2012, 2-4PM, and the exhibit will be open to the public from September 19-29.
All are welcome! Registration is required for workshops, as space is limited.
