Students presenting the fruits of their participation in the Berlin summer studio workshops.
Responding to topic driven workshops in order to open up their practice and experiment with new approaches, here are the results of some of the exercises, assignments, and project challenges faculty initiated. Students respond in any media they wish to. Spontaneity, quick gestures, sketches and collaboration are encouraged and the focus is on process over production in these one week courses.
Some of the workshop results documented here include: Mary Ting’s “Sensory Perception”, “The Expanded Network” with Michael Bowdidge and “Con/fusing LIfe and Art” with Gaye Chan and Nandita Sharma from 2009.
