Ryan’s social practice draws from many disciplines: performance, sculpture, sound, video, and installation. Her work has intercultural concerns and combines the contemporary body with digital media, a body that is both individual and collective – connected to the single human organism. Ryan has exhibited and performed in 11 countries, received a BVA from Sydney University, where she was awarded the university medal, and is currently an MFA candidate at the Transart Institute, New York/Berlin.
